For firms in the Netherlands whose clients ask AI first

Does ChatGPT recommend your firm? How to check

Ask the questions your clients ask, from a browser profile with no account, in ChatGPT and in both of Google's AI answers, keep every answer, and ask again on another day. Searching for your own name tells you less than you think.

The check shows whether your firm is named in the answer, and in what company. It does not show whether those answers bring clients.

Why does ChatGPT show me something different from what my clients see?

The assistants can use your history, your location and your account, and the answers change on their own from day to day. A newcomer who asks "which immigration lawyer should I contact?" for the first time has none of that. So the check runs from a browser profile with no account and no history.

The question matters more than the name. Clients do not type your firm's name. They describe a problem: a refused permit, a 30% ruling, a mortgage on a temporary contract. A firm can be named on one of those questions and missing from the next.

And the three answers disagree. In the published measurement of immigration lawyers on 27 September, 4 of the 11 firms that Google's answers named on at least two of the eighteen buyer questions never came up in ChatGPT's answers to the same questions. That is one round of each, so it shows how far the answers can differ, not a fixed rule.

How can I check whether ChatGPT names my firm?

You can do it yourself. For ten questions, expect two to three hours, spread over two days.

  1. Write the questions first. Ten questions your clients ask, in their words, written down before you look at any answer. Otherwise you end up keeping the questions you like.
  2. Use a browser profile with no account. A new profile, not signed in to Google or ChatGPT, with no history, from the Netherlands and without a VPN. Start a new chat for every question.
  3. Ask in your clients' language. If they ask in English, ask in English. The same question in Dutch can name different firms.
  4. Ask each question three times: in ChatGPT, in Google (the AI Overview at the top, when there is one) and in Google's AI Mode. Google does not show an AI Overview for every question; write that down as "no answer", not as "not named".
  5. Copy every answer in full into a spreadsheet, with the firms it names.
  6. Ask the same questions again on another day. The answers change on their own from day to day, so one round tells you little about where you stand, and a difference of two or three answers between the days is normal movement, not a change.
  7. Count in how many answers your firm is named, and which firms are named instead.

What my check does

The same steps, done for you, with the questions fixed before the first answer is seen. You get up to three answers per question (ChatGPT, Google's AI Overview, Google's AI Mode); where Google shows no AI Overview, the report says so instead of counting it as a miss. Every answer is kept in full, so you can check every line. The result is one page: where you come up, who comes up instead, and up to three changes I would make first.

The published measurement of immigration lawyers shows what such a measurement looks like: every question and every firm named.

How much does a quick check by Sysenko cost?

€150 in total, nothing added on top, one page within 48 hours of your reply, and you pay after you have read it.

If you then make one change, I can measure whether it moved: a second measurement before the change, then the same questions about four weeks after it. The threshold is written down before the second measurement, because answers move on their own from day to day. That is also €150 in total. When nothing moved beyond the normal movement, the report says so.

Or I write the page: €495 in total, nothing added on top. I write the page that answers the client question you are missing on, in your voice, from facts on your own site, with one round of changes after your comments. You check the facts and publish it. The before and after measurement and the check of whether the AI quotes the page are included. I invoice when the page is live. I cannot promise the answers will move; if they do not, the report says so, and the page is yours either way. All prices and what each includes are on the audit page.

No client has paid for this yet, and there is no before-and-after result for a client so far.
